Victoire, a strange and enchanting new “indie-classical” band, has granted Hotel St. George the privilege of premiering three tracks from their debut album, Cathedral City, available from New Amsterdam Records later this year. Founded by celebrated keyboardist and composer, Missy Mazzoli, this Brooklyn-based, “all star, all-female quintet” (Time Out New York) combines strings, clarinets, keyboards and lo-fi electronics to create a deliciously haunting tapestry of grooves and textures, the likes of which you have probably never encountered before.
