Alex Rose - Co-founder, Editor, Designer

has published stories and essays in The New York Times, Ploughshares, The American Scholar, The Believer, Fantasy Magazine, The Reading Room, North American Review, The Providence Journal, The ForwardObit-Mag and others.  He has also directed a number of short films, videos and animations which have appeared on HBO, MTV, Comedy Central, ShowTime and the BBC, as well as in over two dozen festivals worldwide.  His debut short story collection, The Musical Illusionist (Oct. 07) was described by Library Journal as “a potential cult classic” and by the Village Voice as “uncanny.” His story, “Ostracon,” was included in the 2009 edition of The Best American Short Stories, and his essay, “Stranger in a Strange Land” is set to appear in New York Stories, an anthology of features from the New York Times.
