After studying literature at Yale, playing drums in an Ikettes tribute band, leading tours as a New York City park ranger, and living on a horse farm outside Los Angeles, Joanna Neborsky decided all she really wanted to do was draw. When she applied to New York’s School of Visual Arts’ MFA Illustration program in 2007, her portfolio was heavy on placemats, Post-It notes, and napkins; two years later, she delivered the commencement address at Radio City Music Hall. Her work has appeared in The New York Times and American Illustration; her clients include Riverhead Books, Farrar Straus & Giroux, and the New York Times. Joanna was born in San Diego and lives in Brooklyn. This is her first book.
